WELCOME TO THE CAMBRIDGESHIRE AND WEST SUFFOLK GROUP WEBSITEHOW TO KEEP WELL WITH IBD The Department of Gastroenterology at Addenbrooke’s held a Cambridge Crohn’s and Colitis Service Open Day recently which was well attended. Participants were able to hear a number of presentations from Health Professionals and then enjoyed some light refreshments. This was followed small discussion groups. Our Group were able to hold an information stand which was well received and we are pleased to say we were able to recruit a number of new members to the Group. Specialist Nurse Allison Nightingale was one of the speakers and a copy of the slides she used to make her presentation “Keeping Well with IBD” are in our Newsletter Section and well worth a look. We apologise that the quality is a little grainy due to the process of converting them from slides to PDF format. Each of our hospitals have specialist IBD nurses whose helpline numbers are detailed in our "Get in touch" section further down this page We hold regular meetings at each of the hospitals for members to come along and hear from our medical professionals about current treatments, research and help available, as well as to have the opportunity to meet other sufferers. We also publish a quarterly newsletter and get involved in various fundraising and awareness raising events. We ALWAYS welcome new members and love to see new faces at our meetings so please do come along and join us and find out more about our Group and how we can help and support you. We do appreciate that the nature of IBD prevents those who would like to travel to meetings from doing so.
