Welcome to the web pages of the Brighton & West Sussex group.

Our group covers most of East and West Sussex, including Brighton & Hove.

The group was re-launched in 2007 with a focus on supporting people living with Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's disease.

The group produces Gut Feelings - our 8-page newsletter - four times a year with news, views and articles about life with Colitis and Crohn's. All the back issues are on the Group Newsletters page of this site.

We hold monthly get-togethers in Hove, Worthing and Haywards Heath, as well as a spring medical talk, a fundraising quiz and a family day out at Daylands Farm in West Sussex. There are more details and pictures on the About Us and Group Activities pages and in the Diary of Events.

Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's disease are life-long conditions, most commonly appearing in young adults. The diseases cause inflammation and ulceration of the digestive system and follow an unpredictable path of relapses and periods of good health. Around 240,000 people in the UK are affected.
