The South Manchester Group was formed on 1st January 2010 as a result of splitting into three the previous Greater Manchester and North West Area Group. This group had over 1,000 NACC members and was becoming increasingly more difficult to manage. The new group has about 500 members and sister groups are being set up for Central Manchester and North Manchester. An attempt is also being made to maintain a Young Members Group. This had been set up under the old Greater Manchester Group, but due to the unfortunate illness of the organiser has had to be put on hold. The aims of the South Manchester Group are:-
Most of the current O/T continue to suffer with their I.B.D. problems and therefore understand how difficult it can be for fellow members to get out to support lectures, events and fund raising. |
