Clinical school Main meeting in Lecture theatre 2 Talks in seminar rooms 6, 7 & 8 Come and Join the team to find out more about how the service at Addenbrookes can help & support both you and your families with IBD & to hear talks on topics such as: · Stress management and relaxation techniques · How to maintain remission and generally keep well · Updates on current research in IBD · Dietary treatment of Crohn’s disease and managing diet in general with IBD · Travel and IBD This will be a great opportunity for you to find out more about Crohn’s and Colitis in general and to network with other people affected by IBD The meeting will also be supported by Crohn’s & Colitis UK (formally NACC) MORE ABOUT THE GROUP Our group covers a wide area served by Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge,Hinchingbrooke Hospital, Huntingdon, Newmarket Hospital and West Suffolk Hospital, Bury St Edmunds. Our members come from as far west as Sandy, Bedfordshire, as far east as Stowmarket, Suffolk, as far south as the north of Essex and as far north as Peterborough. If you suffer, or are a parent or supporter of someone who suffers from Crohns or Ulcerative Colitis and live in these areas this is the group for you - WELCOME! Each of our hospitals have specialist IBD nurses whose helpline numbers are detailed in our "Get in touch" section further down this page We hold regular meetings at each of the hospitals for members to come along and hear from our medical professionals about current treatments, research and help available, as well as to have the opportunity to meet other sufferers. We also publish a quarterly newsletter and get involved in various fundraising and awareness raising events. We ALWAYS welcome new members and love to see new faces at our meetings so please do come along and join us and find out more about our Group and how we can help and support you. We do appreciate that the nature of IBD prevents those who would like to travel to meetings from doing so. For that reason we hope to be able to use our website and newsletter as more convenient means of communication. We will always reply to emails and requests for information so do please get in touch. Telephone appointments can be made by telephoning the Information Service. IBD Specialist Nurses The following IBD Nurses have kindly agreed that we can put their hotline numbers on this site. Please ensure that you ONLY contact the nurse at YOUR hospital.. The nurses can only help their own hospital patients.
