Welcome to the NORTHERN IRELAND Group Home Page We are here for people with Ulcerative Colitis or Crohn's Disease anywhere in Northern Ireland. The group was formed in June 1988, with Derek Rodgers as our founding chairman. There are still one or two founding members serving on the OT. At present there is only one Crohn's and Colitis UK group in NI, but we are in the process of forming a sub-group in the North-West of the country. We have just under 450 members. Our membership consists of patients, relatives, friends and health professionals. The age range of patients is from young children to octogenarians. We generally meet three or four times a year, usually in The Group is run by a team of volunteers, called the Organising Team. You can find out who we are on the ‘About Us’ page. Our Medical Advisor is Dr Graham Turner, MD FRCP.
