Fundraising We are always trying to raise funds for Crohn's and Colitis UK, for research and for the general running of the Association both Nationally and Locally. We hold several events of our own each year and also take stalls at larger events. We try to encourage our members to participate wherever possible, either joining us at one of our events or organising one of your own on our behalf. York Walk 2010
We need marshals - please come forward to help with this really enjoyable day. Please register on-line at www.nacc.org.uk/naccwalks You could hold a coffee morning, or do a car boot sale, a sponsored something, or any other bright ideas you may have to help us to raise funds. Persuade someone else ie your employer to donate their charity funds to Crohn's and Colitis UK or provide a prize for an event. We have fundraising materials for you to borrow, such as a tombola drum, posters, banners, etc. Just let us know your ideas and what you need from us. Celebrity Ambassadors As you can see we have celebrity ambassadors that help raise awareness on a national basis but we do need local ambassadors to help us that do not need to be celebrities just willing to give us some time. We were lucky at this years York Walk because as well as the Mayor, we had Jeff Hordley aka Cain Dingle to present medals at the finish. This was excellent in raising the profile but it is the volunteers that make it all possible. |
