========================================= Manchester City Council Cuts all its Public Toilets (bar one)
On Feb 8th 2011, Manchester City Council, as part of its cuts package, said it would close all its public toilets except for the ones on Mount Street. So that means that 6 will go in the city centre and 12 outside the City Centre. That's a 90% cut in facilities for people with Crohns or Ulcerative Colitis, as well as all the other disabled people who will be affected. =========================================
The first talk arranged by the group in November 2010 was on the topic of “Risks in Inflammatory Bowel Disease”. It was given by Dr Simon Campbell, from Manchester Royal Infirmary. The meeting was very well attended and we hope to hold another educational event in September 2011
